You may not remember us, Jodi, but we remember you! As a teacher, you were kind, encouraging, energetic, and hardworking - and the kids thought you were so cool. My Rebekah admired you so and even honored me by calling a pair of my sandals with heels, "Mrs. McMahan shoes!" I never knew how to find and tell you years later, but you alerted us to symptoms of a serious medical issue before we ever discovered it. That's how tuned in to your students you were. Our hearts and prayers go out to you and your family. We are so blessed to have had you in our lives!

Much, much love,
Joy

Jodi,

When I think of you, I smile.  You have such a dry sense of humor which I definitely appreciate.  I always loved seeing you at the faculty meetings or passing you in the hallway because I knew you would make me laugh.  I also appreciate how organized you are. You're a girl after my own heart!!! Going into your classroom was like a breath of fresh air.  Everything was labeled and so neat and tidy.

I was so blessed to have you teach both of my kids.  I still remember how you made the solar system come alive by transforming your classroom.  You worked tirelessly to make science fun and applicable for the kids.

You are so crafty and creative.  Just the other day, I wore the shirt that you made for me with your Cricut.  It says, "You are Loved!"  Well, guess what Jodi, now it is my turn to tell you that YOU ARE LOVED!!!

And, please don't get me started on your kids.  Do you remember when Ava Mei tutored Juliette every week?  I think it was less tutoring and more that I wanted a good positive, role model for Juliette.  And boy did she exceed those expectations.  She is still one of the most respectful, polite young ladies that I know.

And the boys - don't get me started on those boys.  You know I'll always have a special place in my heart for them.  They were both so honest and genuine.  I think they get that from you!

I love your family, Jodi.  Thank you for sharing them with all of us.  And thank you for sharing so much of yourself with your students for so many years.
You are one very, very special person.  YOU ARE LOVED!!!

Jodie Magley - Friend Foremost and Cornerstone Parent

Jodi,

We met your first year at CCA which was Alana's first year at CCA for 6th Grade. Clearly we connected as we both have the same awesome name, and I knew you'd be a cool chick! From there we had a teacher/parent relationship which really didn't shift until Coop started at CCA and he friended Mr Henry McMahon - let the fun begin. Not gonna lie...it was kinda weird going to the "teachers" house for play dates. The boys friendship crew into two true family friendships. We've all had pool time, dinners, walks, hikes and even vacationed together. Our families are bonded

Jodi McMahon you are a force of true, honest character, love, selflessness, cool clothes (even though clothes shopping isn't a favorite for you), strength, courage and joy.

My hurt is hurting but I would rather it hurt then not to have had you in our lives. McMahons and Magleys make a great hang out team.

Hi Jodi,

I am so grateful for this opportunity to share my gratitude for the love and impact you had on Ardyn's life (and mine, too!). I always felt your appreciation for my quirky, special girl and accepted her for who God made her to be. Your love was a significant gift that came to her and our family during a season when Ardyn was struggling greatly to find her place at Cornerstone. She battled a lot of anxiety in that season, but you were someone who consistently showed her she was important and likable. I also wanted to share that I will never forget what you shared with me about Ardyn giving you a word from the Lord on the playground. It blessed me tremendously to know how God was working through Ardyn's life. I was also greatly blessed that you witnessed to me how valuable that was to you and in that valued my daughter. Even thinking back to the decision you made to stay home is a testimony to His loving hand in your life. I am deeply sad for all you have been through and for your family. I will use that for fuel to pray. The Gettmanns are praying for you and your family and believing God will be very present to your husband and sweet kiddos as they navigate life without you. We are trusting the Lord to give you all peace, comfort and great assurance of your salvation. We have witnessed His kindness and goodness in our lives, personally and intimately. I am sure you have a million testimonies, too. And now we cling to who we know Him to be and trust Him for what only He can do. He is faithful!

We love you, Jodi. You lived a life that displayed love. Well done. See you soon, sweet sister.

With great love and appreciation,

Katie

Jodi,

I will always be in awe of your ability to walk into a classroom mid-year and immediately see the diamond in the rough.  You definitely had your hands full with that 3rd-grade class at Simpson. We can look back now and laugh....it was like the popular "Harlem Shake".  Throughout the chaos, you managed to create a loving atmosphere for all of your students.  You taught them self-control, leadership, and social-emotional learning.   You encouraged me to continue to advocate on behalf of my child when I kept running into obstacles within the school system.  You did that because you saw something in him and knew with a little bit of assistance he would soar.  Dyslexia can be hard to detect.  I remember laughing and crying with you!  You LOVE BIG.  I'm so glad I met you at Simpson.  You have a heart of gold and are a faithful servant.  I admire the beautiful, stylish, funny, and genuine person that you are, and I'm praying for you and your family.  Keep smiling, sweet friend.

Love you in Christ,
The Hippeli Family

Jodi,

You have had a special place in our families heart.  We are so thankful that Olivia had you as a teacher.  You took her under your wing and went out of your way to help keep her organized, focused and made sure her self confidence stayed intact.  She misses her "bestie" as she calls you.  We are praying for you and your family.

Jodi,

I know I should talk about all of your amazing character traits first, but I'm sorry, I have to talk about the fashion icon you always were in carpool! I always loved to come through the line to see all the great things you wore, and how beautiful you looked. I would just dream of being able to pull it all together like Mrs. McMahon! Thank you for the way you loved Julia and thank you for helping her love science!! You certainly played a part in her current direction of wanting to pursue a career in medical research! We are praying for you and your family without ceasing.

Jodi,

You made a real and personal connection with me during a difficult time. In fact, as soon as I started to tear up in one of our meetings, you started too, which made us both laugh. You showed genuine care, and I'll always be grateful for that. You and your family are in my daily thoughts and prayers.
