Jodi,

I can remember like it was yesterday the first time the boys came to my Mission 252 Group.  They had SO much energy! As a girl mom, it was so fun to experience Wednesday nights with their energy!  And to top it off, they seemed to have this awesome, stylish mom!  Fast forward to last year!  You were so instrumental in helping Darsey adjust to the expectations of middle school!  We are so grateful for you!  So many prayers going up from our home for your family and you!

Amy Mosher - Friend and Colleague

Jodi,

Sweet friend, I am so grateful that God led me to Cornerstone because that meant I got to know YOU! Thank you for welcoming me into the Cornerstone family. We quickly found we have much in common - being swim moms, parenting kids the same age, and a public school background were a few. There is also so much that is different between us. And that is what I am most grateful for. We are opposites in many ways, and all of them are the things I love and admire most about you. Thank you for sharing your heart so openly. Thank you for inspiring me to up my teacher wardrobe (I'll never be as stylish as you!). Thank you for being the cheerleader when I want to complain. Thank you for the way you always remind me to turn back to God when I need to refocus on what matters. You are such a positive and inspiring force in my life.

I am grateful for every lunch we shared, after school chat, and evening on the patio. We started as co-workers, but I am so thankful to now call you a dear friend. Thank you for sharing your family with me, too. I am forever grateful to have walked with Bob and Henry through 5th grade. It is a privilege to know and love you all.

Love,
Amy

Jodi,

Your mark on our family has been indelible. We thank God that both Miles and Felix landed in your care/classroom during transitional years.

I will never forget when Miles started 3rd grade at Simpson and was consumed with worry. You immediately figured out a way to assuage his anxiety and helped us, as parents, support him in finding his voice, while simultaneously identifying ways to ensure his success as a student. (And admit that in your introduction at Meet The Teacher, our antennae went up when you said you ran a marathon; we knew you had the endurance to manage the kids!) Similarly, you were a bright spot when Felix started at Cornerstone and was confronted with the challenges of being a middle school boy.

Your ability to anticipate children's pain points and offer tender, but firm guidance is masterful and appreciated. Eric and I always walked out of our conferences with you acknowledging your capacity for understanding and then amplifying the curious angles of our unique children. Your gift in creating a faithful community within the walls of your classroom was never lost on us as parents. What a blessing you have been for us, and for so many others.

Jodi,

I am so thankful to know you.  Your geniune heart and spirit are evident in all you do.  I am so grateful for you as that tough science teacher for my son.  But even more than that, I always felt special and cared about anytime we talked.  You made every kid and parent feel heard and important each time they were in your presence.  I loved when I got in your lane at carpool because I knew I'd get a special hello.  Also, I loved to see the cool earrings you were wearing!  Thank you for being a part of my family's life.  We are praying for your and your family!

Dear Jodi,

We are thinking of you and your family during this very difficult time.  While not easy for anyone, we are glad to know you've had the opportunity to spend more time with your family this past year.  Please know that Ella learned so much with you as her science teacher in both 5th and 6th grades.  She was pushed to go beyond the basics, and we are thankful for both your teaching and the time you spent working with her.  You always championed her swimming and supported her in the classroom and at the pool.  Thank you for that.  We miss seeing you in the carpool line every afternoon.  Sending along many prayers.

Mrs. McMahon was amazing when she taught my son, Luke. However, watching how she believed in, encouraged, inspired, ENJOYED, celebrated, and embraced ALL that comes with my son, Jake, was next level. I will never forget meeting with her about Jake for a conference. The way she teared up as she talked about what she saw in Jake and spoke belief over my son is something I will never forget. The Franklins love Jodi McMahon so much.

Hi Jodi,

I just wanted to thank you for everything you did for Cooper in your science class. He loved your class and loved having you as a teacher! You made science and class fun for him, while still learning which is what makes you such a great teacher. We are praying for you and your family!

Hi, Jodi ,

You are in our constant prayers.  Thank you for your teaching and guidance of my Cornerstone middle schooler over the years.  Funny story, I always looked for you in the Friday middle school afternoon carpool, and loved to see when you would wear your fancy green "Ararat" earrings.  Always my favorite.  Thinking of you every day.

Jodi,

Learning that we had the same birthday, we quickly became "birthday besties" and forged a deeper friendship. Your children reflect the kindness and character of you, Jodi. You are always quick with a smile and a complement. Forever friends.

Jodi,

Most of our connection has been through your sweet family since I had Bob and Henry in Cougars Den and would see Ava Mei come and go in the Lower School. I greatly respect your decision to stay home this year for more time with family and I know how hard that must have been especially for a teacher who loves to teach. That says alot about your priorities, love for your family, and desire to be obedient to what God is calling you to do. Those are BIG things! You are inspiring, beautiful inside and out and obviously have a fashion sense that the rest of us wish we had:).

Love and hugs,
Sharon
