Jodi, I will always be in awe of your ability to walk into a classroom mid-year and immediately see the diamond in the rough. You definitely had your hands full with that 3rd-grade class at Simpson. We can look back now and laugh....it was like the popular "Harlem Shake". Throughout the chaos, you managed to create a loving atmosphere for all of your students. You taught them self-control, leadership, and social-emotional learning. You encouraged me to continue to advocate on behalf of my child when I kept running into obstacles within the school system. You did that because you saw something in him and knew with a little bit of assistance he would soar. Dyslexia can be hard to detect. I remember laughing and crying with you! You LOVE BIG. I'm so glad I met you at Simpson. You have a heart of gold and are a faithful servant. I admire the beautiful, stylish, funny, and genuine person that you are, and I'm praying for you and your family. Keep smiling, sweet friend. |
