Our partnership with parents is a vital part of the Cornerstone community. Clear and consistent communication ensures that families remain well-informed and engaged. Cornerstone provides weekly updates through the following primary channels:

Our website should be your first stop when searching for information. We are actively updating and enhancing our site to be as useful as possible for families.

Parent Portal

This is your go-to spot for schedules, forms, and school information.

Cougar Connection
A full-school communication piece called Cougar Connection is sent to parents each Friday. The Cougar Connection shares current information, celebrations, and provides a look ahead for families.  See an archive of previous Cougar Connections

Videos
Periodically, the administration will send out videos to the school community regarding specific information that is of great importance. 

MAGNUS Clinic Treatment Notes Access

As part of our new Magnus health portal, we are moving to a digital footprint for our “clinic” records. We no longer send home paper notes detailing any medications or other care provided to your child in our “clinic”. Instead, if your child receives any sort of significant care or is given any medications during the school day, you will receive an email that will direct you to your Magnus portal where you can access detailed information about the visit. Backpack Express
The Backpack Express is what we call our modern-day Pony Express. You are welcome to communicate with the classroom teachers or the front office by sending notes, checks or forms through your child’s backpack. Backpacks should be checked every day.

Important announcements, reminders, and updates are sent directly to your inbox each week.
All faculty and staff at Cornerstone have an email address. The main school address is admin@cornerstonecougars.net . All faculty email addresses are first initial, last name. For example, John Doe’s e-mail address would be jdoe@cornerstonecougars.net. To protect our families from unwanted email, a concerted effort is made to keep email addresses secure. Please be sensitive to the privacy of others when sending group emails and ensure your virus protection software is up to date on your personal computer. Also, please do not use email addresses of Cornerstone families to invite groups to home parties or to send bulk messages unless you are sending on behalf of a Cornerstone committee.
