The primary goal of Cowles Library is to encourage every student to become lifelong readers. Lower School students visit the library once a week. Developmentally appropriate library skills lessons and story time are part of the library curriculum. Middle school students come to the library to select literature for pleasure reading and for research on a variety of subjects or for special projects.
Through the library program, students develop an appreciation of literature, a love of reading, and independent research skills.
Parents have the opportunity to volunteer in the school library. Parent volunteers are an essential part of the success of our annual Book Fair, as well as the smooth day to day operation of Cowles Library.
“I know God led us to Cornerstone. I had heard from other parents that the quality of education was going to be very good, but it has far exceeded our wildest dreams and prayers. Cornerstone is a true answer to prayer and we are so blessed to be here.”
