In 2008, the Georgia General Assembly passed into law House Bill 1133 which allows individuals and corporations to choose to redirect a portion of their Georgia state income tax dollars for need based financial aid. Cornerstone Christian Academy has partnered with Georgia GOAL, a state approved Student Scholarship Organization, as required by law to administer this tax credit program.
Anyone who pays Georgia income tax is eligible to participate.
Reserving a spot to contribute will be essential again for 2016, since the $58 million cap for 2015 education expense tax credits was met and exceeded on January 1, 2015. The option to reserve your spot for 2016 should be available in the spring or summer of 2015. Reserving your spot to contribute only means that you are in line for your paperwork to be submitted to the Department of Revenue for approval on January 1, 2016. After the DOR approves your contribution, you then have 60 days to make your payment (can also be done online).
Please use the online paperless processing link below to reserve your spot to contribute, or access the Georgia GOAL website.
Corporate gift matching is also available with this tax credit.
